Republican Rejects Obama's Biblical Backing of Same-Sex Unions

Whatever it takes...This nut-job, running as a presidential hopeful...hopeful to who?  It is all about votes..intergrity and moral beliefs aside...this can't be where we are heading.  Read the story below!

(CNSNews.com)
- Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) told Cybercast News Service on Wednesday that Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama (D-Ill.) can't justify support for same-sex unions by referencing Jesus Christ's Sermon on the Mount.

"Christian tradition and Scripture speak with one voice on this subject wherever it's been raised," Sessions said. "It does not accept same-sex unions."

Obama is not unique in trying to interpret the Bible to fit with his world view, he said.

"Some people want to change that these days - but for 2000 years and plain reading of the Scripture, I think that has not been the position of the church" on same-sex unions, Sessions said. Obama "is talking about changing, a redefining of a Christian tradition."

Cybercast News Service
reported earlier this week that Obama told a college crowd while campaigning in Ohio on Sunday that his support for legalizing same-sex unions is rooted in his Christian faith.

"I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state," Obama said. "If people find that controversial, then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans."
